Medical Office Coordinator

At St. Joseph's Healthcare System, we are seeking a skilled Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring a smooth patient registration process, including the collection of demographic, financial, and insurance information. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and verify patient demographic and financial information
- Process patient financial responsibilities and refer self-pay patients to financial services as needed
- Enter data accurately and maintain a high level of customer service
- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure seamless communication
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic technical training in medical office practice
- 3-6 months of on-the-job training and orientation
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus
