Job Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer role encompasses the leadership in project management, specifications, design, installation, and initiation of manufacturing processes and auxiliary equipment.

The selected candidate will spearhead initiatives aimed at minimizing operational expenses through cost-saving measures, enhanced process management, and increased machinery dependability, alongside projects that implement innovative products or methodologies.

Additionally, this position entails providing essential guidance and mentorship to the Technical Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in hands-on enhancements of manufacturing processes utilizing engineering tools to address technical challenges.
  • Conduct assessments of current conditions related to identified issues and evaluate necessary modifications to boost production efficiency and minimize product flaws and waste.
  • Redesign existing machine elements to enhance functionality by integrating or adjusting sensors, supports, or stations.
Project Management Duties
  • Define project scope, prepare capital and operational cost estimates, and establish project timelines.
  • Ensure timely project completion within budgetary constraints.
  • Review mechanical designs for safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Confirm that new equipment supplied to manufacturing adheres to all relevant safety and environmental standards.
  • Oversee the completion of technical documentation, expenditure plans, resource allocations, mechanical schematics, and as-built assembly diagrams.
  • Conduct validations as necessary.
  • Develop, construct, and formulate operational procedures for devices in accordance with assigned project specifications.

Utilize and comprehend statistical software and quality tools (such as Process Maps, C&E Matrix, FMEA, and Design of Experiments) to substantiate process modifications or ongoing enhancements.

Deliver project presentations to plant personnel and other stakeholders as required.

Contribute as a Team Leader or Champion for CAPA projects as directed.

Collaborate with Corporate Engineering, R&D, and OEM Departments as necessary to support new equipment or product lines.

Indirectly oversee project teams.

Draft Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) regularly.

Consistently write and execute Validation protocols.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided design and CMMS is preferred.
  • Proficient use of CAD-based software for various manufacturing engineering applications is preferred.
