Position Summary

The Financial Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role within the Finance and Accounting team, focusing on the enhancement and optimization of financial systems, particularly as the NetSuite Administrator. This role involves analyzing financial data, recognizing trends, and implementing strategic solutions to refine financial processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize financial systems, primarily NetSuite, ensuring alignment with the company's evolving requirements.
  • Analyze financial data to detect trends, variances, and improvement opportunities, providing insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process enhancements that boost efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Create and maintain custom financial reports and dashboards for real-time visibility into financial performance for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure seamless integration of NetSuite with other business systems to streamline data flow and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead financial system projects, including upgrades and new implementations, ensuring timely and scope-compliant delivery.
  • Provide training and support to finance and accounting team members on the effective use of financial systems and tools.
  • Maintain current process documentation, system configurations, and user guides.
  • Ensure compliance of financial systems and processes with GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory standards, implementing controls to protect data integrity.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed by management to support the company's strategic objectives.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • NetSuite Expertise: 3-5 years in financial operations or a similar role, with 1-2 years as a NetSuite Administrator.
  • Integration Experience: Familiarity with integrating NetSuite with other systems using middleware tools.
  • Programming Skills: Strong understanding of relational databases and scripting logic, with experience in SQL queries.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Proven experience in financial data analysis and reporting, with knowledge of business intelligence tools.
  • Planning and Budgeting: Experience with planning and budgeting tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • NetSuite Administrator certification.
  • Experience with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and SuiteBuilder.
  • Background in the SaaS industry.
  • Experience in a GAAP and SOX controlled environment.
  • Familiarity with integration solutions, particularly Celigo.
