Systems Control Specialist

Job Summary:
3M is seeking a skilled Systems Control Specialist to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading preventive and corrective maintenance on complex equipment, implementing automated system upgrades, and determining best practices for systems control.
About the Role:
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment such as AC/DC drives and motors, programmable logic controllers, process controllers, stepper & servo motors, hydraulic and pneumatic devices, and plant support equipment.
- Implement automated system upgrades and improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Determine best practices for systems control that comply with corporate, plant, and department safety rules.
- Support engineering, production, and maintenance of production, converting, assembly, and packaging equipment; troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
- Create an environment that supports all departments in achieving customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Possess an associate degree/2-year certificate in a maintenance-related field or 2 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM).
- Motivation to learn and grow.
Work Environment:
- Onsite – Detroit, MI.
- No travel required.
