Position Summary
The Financial Systems Analyst plays a crucial role within the Finance and Accounting team, focusing on the enhancement and optimization of financial systems, particularly as the NetSuite Administrator. This role involves analyzing financial data, recognizing trends, and implementing strategic solutions to refine financial processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize financial systems, primarily NetSuite, ensuring alignment with the company's evolving requirements.
- Analyze financial data to uncover trends and variances, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Create and maintain custom financial reports and dashboards for real-time visibility into financial performance.
- Ensure seamless integration of NetSuite with other business systems to streamline data flow and enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead financial system projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope.
- Provide training and support to finance and accounting team members on the effective use of financial systems.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, system configurations, and user guides.
- Ensure compliance of financial systems and processes with GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory standards.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives to support the company's strategic objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- NetSuite Expertise: 3-5 years in financial operations, with 1-2 years as a NetSuite Administrator.
- Integration Experience: Familiarity with integrating NetSuite using middleware tools.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in relational databases and SQL.
- Reporting Skills: Experience in financial data analysis and reporting, using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Planning Tools: Knowledge of planning and budgeting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- NetSuite certifications.
- Experience with SuiteScript and SuiteFlow.
- Background in the SaaS industry.
- Experience in a GAAP and SOX compliant environment.
