Job Overview

As a key member of our electrical services team, you will be responsible for performing lead electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and service electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Source or fabricate replacement electrical components, utilizing knowledge of electrical systems and materials.
  • Interpret blueprints and carry out work accordingly, with a strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Guide and oversee other electrical technicians as necessary, providing training and support to ensure high-quality work.
  • Obtain required equipment, tools, and materials for projects, managing inventory and supplies effectively.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Provide assistance during emergencies, responding promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Update project records and prepare relevant documents and reports, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED; Associate degree in an Electrical or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years in commercial electrical work (experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus).
  • Journeyman Electrician License is preferred.

Work Environment
  • The Electrical Systems Specialist may be required to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, high humidity, etc.)
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
Physical Demands
  • Lifting and carrying heavy objects, up to 75lbs, will be required
  • Ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, stairs, ramps and the like using feet/legs and/or hands/arms
  • Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s)
  • Pushing/pulling may involve use of hands/arms, feet/legs, and/or feet only done with one side of the body or both sides
  • Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet to enter restricted spaces
  • Occasionally, using one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipment
  • Clarity of vision and color vision are both required (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers
  • Sitting/Driving for long periods is frequently required
