Job Overview We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and experienced Automation Systems Specialist to become part of our high-performing team in the Energy sector. This role presents an excellent opportunity to utilize your technical expertise in a challenging and progressive environment. As an Automation Systems Specialist, you will be tasked with designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated automation systems. You will engage with a variety of systems and technologies, including HVAC, Controls, BAS, Building Automation, BMS, Tridium, Niagara, N4, AX, and more. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing the performance of our technological systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced automation systems utilizing technologies such as HVAC, Controls, BAS, Building Automation, BMS, Tridium, Niagara, N4, AX, etc.
  • Create and modify graphics according to project specifications using tools like BACnet, Lonworks, Automated Logic, Vykon, Johnson Controls, Distech, Belimo, webCTRL, Ecostruxure, Metasys, etc.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to comprehend project requirements and translate them into effective programming solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Document all programming actions and system modifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
  • Mentor and guide team members on new technologies and system integrations.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the Energy sector.
  • Proven experience with HVAC, Controls, BAS, Building Automation, BMS, Tridium, Niagara, N4, AX, programming, graphics, BACnet, Lonworks, Automated Logic, Vykon, Johnson Controls, Distech, Belimo, webCTRL, Ecostruxure, Metasys, etc.
  • Exceptional programming skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently when necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning new technologies.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
