THE ROLE:

The financial landscape is crucial, and our Corporate Finance Specialist plays an essential role in enhancing organizational growth and profitability. This position works closely with various departments including sales, marketing, and operations to deliver comprehensive business decision support encompassing pricing strategies, performance evaluations, investment analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for data; they thrive in collaborative environments and have a keen eye for detail.

Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review financial outcomes for precision and contribute to management discussions and analyses.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure the integrity and accurate representation of financial data.
  • Maintain and disseminate key performance indicators and standard scorecards along with other performance reports.
  • Assess new investment prospects including capital expenditures, mergers and acquisitions, working capital, and operational expenses.
  • Utilize and enhance the implementation of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Develop, utilize, and continuously refine a comprehensive pricing and profitability model that facilitates straightforward calculations and comprehension.
  • Calculate and communicate suitable pricing strategies (standard and special) using a structured review and adjustment process.
  • Prepare and convey monthly profitability assessments, breaking down results as necessary (e.g., by customer, division, etc.).
  • Engage regularly with management to present and discuss profitability insights to enhance understanding of profitability by segment.
  • Exhibit sound judgment in problem-solving and proactively identify issues while proposing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire and capability to delve deeply into financial data.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related data-driven field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in finance or a related domain.
  • Proficient in budgeting, pro forma return modeling, and various ad hoc analytical tasks.
  • High proficiency in Excel is essential; candidates will be tested on their Excel skills.
  • Ability to research and quickly adapt to new systems.
  • Experience in data mining is preferred.
  • Driven by process improvement and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines is vital.
