Job Summary

The Patient Access Services Manager is responsible for managing the quality and production of the access and registration functions of the Admissions and Registration departments at University Health. This role involves planning and implementing methods to improve work procedures, processes, and staff needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the access and registration functions to ensure high-quality patient experiences
  • Plan and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of departmental budgets
  • Coordinate and communicate Health System changes to staff
  • Supervise staff to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent experience is required. Working knowledge of insurance, third-party payor options, hospital admissions, and billing processes for inpatient and outpatient services is necessary. Supervisory experience is preferred.
