Job Summary

MaineHealth, a leading healthcare system in Maine and New Hampshire, seeks a skilled Leadership Philanthropy Officer to join its development team. This role focuses on building relationships with potential donors and securing leadership gift commitments to support the organization's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, and healthcare professionals.
  2. Strategic Fundraising: Identify, cultivate, and solicit leadership gift opportunities to support MaineHealth's strategic initiatives.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clinical and administrative leadership to achieve fundraising goals and promote a culture of philanthropy within the organization.
  4. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including visit targets, proposal development, and funds secured.
  5. Travel: Travel as necessary, both in-state and out-of-state, to meet with donors and stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or CFRE or CAP certification preferred.
  2. Experience: At least 5 years of development experience, preferably in a healthcare or academic medical center setting.
  3. Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner, and strong relationship-building skills.
