This role is focused on cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and securing significant gift commitments to support the organization's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential donors, identifying and pursuing opportunities for leadership gifts.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for philanthropic growth, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Donor Engagement: Design and execute engaging experiences for donors, including visits, proposals, and stewardship activities.
  • Stewardship and Reporting: Ensure timely and effective stewardship of gifts, including recognition and reporting to donors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with development colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or CFRE or CAP certification preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of development experience, preferably in a healthcare or academic medical center setting.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner, and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Travel: Ability to travel when necessary, both in-state and out-of-state.
