Position Title: Auto Collector (Long-term temporary assignment)

Compensation: $20.00/ BOE

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (initially onsite for 3-4 weeks, transitioning to hybrid after training)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in outbound and inbound communication with customers for the purpose of:

- Collecting payments on both active and closed accounts through various methods including phone payments, quick collections, and written correspondence, utilizing exceptional customer service skills. Outstanding balances may arise from overdue payments, lease-end fees (such as mileage, wear and tear, property tax), deficiency amounts from repossessions, or outstanding sums from total losses.

- Negotiating payment arrangements when customers require assistance and ensuring follow-up on pending actions or expired payment plans.

- Delivering superior customer service while managing incoming calls from both external and internal clients with professionalism.

  • Oversee a designated queue of accounts.
  • When customer outreach proves difficult, conduct skip tracing to locate customers and their collateral, and initiate repossession when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to address escalated customer concerns or complaints as needed.
  • Provide insights and suggestions for process enhancements or training materials.
  • Adhere to corporate standards and compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Customer Service and/or Collections setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the automotive sector is advantageous.
