About the Role

Talis Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to lead our contract distilling sales program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the Kentucky contract distilling market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of the Kentucky contract distilling market to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive growth and revenue in the contract distilling market.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including brokers, distillers, and other industry professionals.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the production team to ensure the timely delivery of products that meet client specifications.
  • Industry Events: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and grow the client base.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the sales department and provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage sales budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate revenue projections.
Requirements
  • Proven Track Record: Possess a proven track record of aggressively pursuing and securing new business.
  • Sales Management Experience: Proven sales management experience in any industry (8+ years preferred); experience in the spirits, beverage, or distillery industry is helpful but not necessary.
  • CRM Experience: Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for building lasting relationships.
  • Consulting Skills: The ability to consult on branding and marketing, particularly in the alcohol or spirits sector, is a plus.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Travel Requirements: A willingness to travel to meet clients, attend events, and build relationships.
