Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Planning and Analysis Lead to join our Finance Team at Royal Caribbean Group. This is a full-time position that will report to the Sr Manager of Corporate Planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for Royal Caribbean Group, including interpreting current and future business performance by reviewing monthly results and forecasts submissions for all brands and P&L components.
  • Expense Forecasting: Prepare and/or review the expense forecast for General & Administrative costs, Corporation's bonus, and stock compensation.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Set, monitor, and report on the Group's financial and operational KPIs.
  • Team Management: Coach and manage a financial analyst direct report.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monthly Tracking and Analysis: Own the process of monthly tracking of actual financial results to projections, including in-depth understanding and analysis of variances and drivers.
  • Benchmarking and Analysis: Provide benchmarking and analyses to identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost control.
  • Annual Operating Plan and Financial Forecasts: Support the development of annual operating plan, and subsequent monthly financial forecasts, through collaboration with Brand and Shared Finance organizations.
  • KPI Target Setting and Achievement: Develop and recommend strategies for setting, monitoring, and achieving annual KPI targets, including both operational and financial KPIs.
  • Budgeting and Financial Modeling: Own the budgeting, planning, and financial modeling associated with the Corporation's bonus and stock compensation structure, as well as General & Administrative costs.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Lead monthly and ad hoc reporting to Executive Leadership, including actuals reporting, forecast reporting, and operating plan reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify efficiencies and automation opportunities in the current reporting process to focus on strategic analysis and value creation.
  • Financial Reporting and Presentations: Lead financial reporting and presentations that support earnings calls, board meetings, Executive Committee meetings, and other ad hoc executive meetings.
  • Team Support: Manage and organize work for direct report, which will be supporting all of the aforementioned items.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting from a 4-year university.
  • Advanced Education: Master's degree in finance, MBA, and/or CFA preferred.
  • Experience: 4+ years progressive experience in financial management at a large corporation.
  • Corporate Planning and Finance Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in Corporate Planning and/or Corporate Finance.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Resourceful self-starter with excellent written & verbal executive level communication skills, effective collaborator and relationship builder with sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Hyperion Essbase/Smartview, Oracle Enterprise Planning Management, JD Edwards World, Oracle Database, and advanced use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting rules.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, highly organized.
