Role Summary:
We are in search of a skilled and results-oriented Product Category Strategist to spearhead the growth and profitability of our diverse product lines. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in e-commerce and a proven track record with large retail partners. This role is crucial for enhancing sales performance and expanding our market footprint across various retail channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive category strategies that promote sales growth, profitability, and market share across e-commerce platforms and major retail partners.
- Market Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to uncover opportunities and mitigate risks within assigned categories.
- Sales Enhancement: Optimize category performance by refining product listings, pricing strategies, promotions, and inventory management in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams.
- Vendor Relations: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with vendors and major retailers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring alignment with category objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze category performance metrics, leveraging data-driven insights to make strategic adjustments that enhance sales outcomes.
- Promotional Strategy: Design and execute promotional strategies tailored to e-commerce and retail channels, maximizing visibility and sales impact.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years in category management with a strong emphasis on e-commerce and large retail partners, demonstrating success in driving sales through these channels.
- Sales Focus: Proven ability to enhance sales results and improve profit margins through strategic category management.
