Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at North Oaks Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiology equipment to produce high-quality X-Ray images and performing routine diagnostic procedures.
Responsibilities- Operate radiology equipment to produce high-quality X-Ray images
- Perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices
- Provide patient preparation for X-Ray procedures
- Determine proper voltage and current for X-Ray procedures
- Process images utilizing CR and edit and verify all studies in PACS
- Call patients from the waiting area and escort them to examination rooms
- Document and graph patient information as needed
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and respiratory testing/treatment as ordered by physicians
- Assist with aseptic and sterile dressing application
- Issue physician's excuses for school/work and make copies of excuses for patient charts
- Perform DOT and non-DOT drug screens and breath alcohol tests as needed
- Assist with the collection and preparation of patient specimens for transport
- Perform daily quality control and clinic checklist functions as assigned
- Attend monthly staff meetings and follow North Oaks Health System's compliance programs and federal and state regulatory guidelines
- Current ARRT certification required
- Current LA State Board of Radiological Technologist license required
- Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology required
- BLS required
- Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to lift, carry, and push equipment as needed. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
