Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at North Oaks Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiology equipment to produce high-quality X-Ray images and performing routine diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiology equipment to produce high-quality X-Ray images
  • Perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices
  • Assist patients with preparation for X-Ray procedures
  • Process images utilizing CR and edit and verify all studies in PACS
  • Call patients from the waiting area and escort them to examination rooms
  • Document and graph patient information as needed
  • Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, EKG's, and respiratory testing/treatment as ordered by physicians
  • Assist with aseptic and sterile dressing and issue physician's excuses for school/work
  • Perform waived laboratory testing as ordered and assist with daily quality control and clinic checklist functions
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members
Requirements
  • Current ARRT certification required
  • Current LA State Board of Radiological Technologist license required
  • Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology required
  • BLS required
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to lift, carry, and push equipment as needed. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
