We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at North Oaks Medical Center. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Review patient orders and ensure all necessary information is present and accurate.
- Select appropriate technical settings and protocols to maximize image quality and patient safety.
- Administer contrast media and perform venipuncture as required.
- Assist in training new employees and students.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure their comfort and understanding.
- Recognize and respond to emergent situations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records.
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Licensed by the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE) and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) within 90 days of graduation.
- Completed American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
This position requires frequent standing, lifting, and bending. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to crisis situations is essential.
