We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Services Director to join our team at Healthcare Management of Asheville. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of social services programs to ensure the highest level of care for our patients and residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement social services programs that meet the needs of our patients and residents, including planning, organizing, and directing the Social Service Department.
- Collaborate with administration, medical and nursing staff, and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of social services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community health, welfare, and social agencies to ensure access to resources and services for our patients and residents.
- Recruit, select, and train competent department personnel to ensure the delivery of high-quality social services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as professional standards.
- Conduct regular evaluations of departmental performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in community planning and development of social services programs to meet the needs of our patients and residents.
- Ensure that all social services programs are delivered in a manner that respects the rights and dignity of our patients and residents.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an approved school of Social Work.
- Non-encumbered State License to practice Social Work.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a Long Term Care or hospital setting.
- Any combination of experience and training that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
The Social Services Director will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, residents, families, and staff.
