Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team at Penumbra. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering group, you will be responsible for solving complex problems and implementing innovative solutions to improve our production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solve complex problems and implement innovative solutions to improve production processes
  • Provide manufacturing technology and robust solutions to commercialize new products and improve production processes
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering groups and production teams to resolve problems and implement adaptations and modifications to the production line and quality systems
  • Design and develop fixtures, acquire off-the-shelf tooling and equipment, and implement new fixturing on the production line
  • Test processes, equipment, raw materials, and product, and perform process validations
  • Develop specifications of products, processes, or equipment, and develop, characterize, and optimize processes using statistical techniques and engineering knowledge and experience
  • Coordinate with suppliers and external resources to develop and implement process improvement plans
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling, and train assemblers, quality control, and technicians on processes, equipment, and documentation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 1+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively
  • Experience with FDA regulations, lean manufacturing, and/or materials and manufacturing processes is strongly preferred
