We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Specialist to join our team at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. as an Engineering Technician on our Equipment Design & Development team.
About the RoleAs an Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining process equipment to support our operations. You will work closely with our team to ensure the safe and reliable use of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Build Process Equipment: You will design and build new process equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, to support our operations.
- Commission and Decommission Equipment: You will commission and decommission process equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and controls, to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Provide Manufacturing Support: You will provide manufacturing support, responding to trouble calls and resolving issues with process tools, facilities, and equipment.
- Train and Communicate with the Equipment Team: You will train on all SILA equipment and communicate with the equipment team to resolve questions and requests.
- Propose and Implement New Systems and Tools: You will propose and implement new or improved systems and tools, and identify and execute upgrades to facility infrastructure.
- Technical Knowledge: You will have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, vacuum equipment, process piping, and process gas supply systems.
- Testing Tools: You will have knowledge of testing tools, including DMV, helium leak detector, and hydro tester.
- Problem-Solving Skills: You will have a conscientious, curious, and deliberate approach to problem-solving.
- Communication Skills: You will have consistent and clear communication across multiple teams and shifts.
- Education: You will have an A.S degree, technical or vocational.
- Machine Shop Experience: You will have familiarity with machine shop equipment.
