The focus is on the standardization of processes and methodologies, ensuring that effective productivity metrics are established through time and frequency assessments. The individual will verify that Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard costs accurately reflect the necessary materials, labor, and scrap components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the evaluation, recommendation, and execution of improvements to current workflows and processes aimed at enhancing throughput, minimizing costs, and boosting accuracy and consistency within manufacturing and distribution.

• Execute industrial engineering time assessments and translate findings into labor standard objectives for operational efficiency.

• Revise and uphold standard work protocols across all significant process pathways, including data collection and the development of best practice training methodologies to support the formulation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Establish and maintain computer-based productivity expectations for labor standards, ensuring they are regularly updated.

• Collaborate with operations to determine optimal machine speeds and associated scrap and waste targets, reflecting these in BOMs and standard costs.

• Develop tracking and reporting methods for warehouse and manufacturing key performance indicators, including productivity metrics and planning tools to optimize labor use and monitor waste.

• Conduct labor audits and time studies to confirm the validity and soundness of all established labor standards.

• Provide training to operations personnel on work sampling techniques and the development of engineered standards, including how to thoroughly investigate and validate issues or complaints.

• Assist in the assessment and subsequent revision of all work methods and workflows to ensure ergonomic correctness.

• Support the analysis and cost justification for capital project requests as necessary.

• Collaborate with Inventory Control to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.

• Engage in Quality and Safety Committees to influence respective metrics through standardization efforts.

• Work alongside procurement and inventory teams to identify standardization opportunities.

• Travel occasionally as required to promote standardization and best practices throughout the supply chain.

• Facilitate lean initiatives and audit compliance with Lean and 5S methodologies.

• Conduct capacity assessments for existing facilities.

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.

• 3-5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, preferably within the automotive sector.

• Practical experience in establishing and implementing engineered labor standards in manufacturing and warehousing environments.

• Strong analytical skills, particularly in mathematical and statistical analysis, including simulation capabilities.

• Proven experience in process design, work measurement, productivity enhancement, cost reduction, Kaizen, 5S, and project execution.

• Ability to identify problems and determine root causes for immediate action, temporary solutions, and long-term sustainable strategies.

• Demonstrated capability to plan, manage, and drive projects to completion while being accountable for progress and quality.

• Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SQL, with experience in work measurement methodologies and tools.

• Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with WMS is a plus.

• Flexibility to work various shifts as required.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
