About The Difference Card

We help organizations build the most cost-effective health plans, delivering an average net savings of over 18% to our clients since 2001. Our proprietary medical reimbursement systems, risk transfer solutions, and wellness strategies provide the highest level of employee benefits while reducing health insurance spend.

Role and Responsibilities

This position creates strategic broker partnerships to promote our product suite and help employers reduce their health insurance spend while maintaining great benefits for employees.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying potential broker partners
  • Selling to customers in the 50-5,000 employee range through broker partners
  • Accountable for prospect from presale through implementation
  • Providing broker support for successful education and implementation of our product
  • Developing and maintaining key internal relationships
  • Understanding customer needs and providing value-added consultation
  • Presenting a positive image of The Difference Card in the marketplace

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • State Health Insurance License or ability to obtain within three months
  • Two years' experience in a sales role in employer group benefits or relevant industry
  • Excellent public speaking skills with ability to present to business decision makers, brokers, and employees
  • Superior presentation skills in person and virtual capacity, experience with Zoom and Microsoft Teams preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Salesforce
  • History of new business sales success
  • Strong network of group health insurance brokers and consultants

Compensation and Location

This is a full-time, exempt position with a base salary and variable commission. You must reside within 100 miles of Albany, NY, and be willing to travel up to 20%.
