We are in search of a meticulous and detail-oriented Claims Specialist to become a vital part of our energetic team.
Position Overview: The Claims Specialist is tasked with overseeing and processing claims associated with vehicle damages, incidents, and losses. This role demands exceptional communication abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. The ideal candidate will possess experience in claims management, ideally within the car rental or insurance sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Management: Receive, evaluate, and process claims for vehicle damages, incidents, and losses.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients, insurance providers, and internal teams to collect necessary information and update on claims progress.
- Documentation: Ensure all required documentation is acquired and accurately logged in the system, including police reports, photographs, and repair estimates.
- Evaluation: Assess the legitimacy of claims and determine the suitable course of action in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with clients and insurance adjusters to achieve fair and just resolutions.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports on claims activities, trends, and outcomes for management analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure all claims are processed in adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including Fleet Management, Legal, and Finance, to ensure efficient claims processing and resolution.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in claims processing, preferably in the car rental or insurance industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with car rental operations and insurance claim procedures.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license is required.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to vehicle inspection sites.
- May require occasional travel to attend meetings or conduct inspections.
- Standard working hours with the possibility of overtime during peak periods.
