Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is a premier medical center specializing in pediatric burn care, orthopedics, spinal cord injuries, cleft lip and palate, and various pediatric subspecialties. We are currently seeking a Supervisor of Environmental Services Operations. This role primarily operates during the day shift (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) but may require weekend and off-hour availability on occasion.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for benefits. The compensation for this role is $44.32 per hour, with pay determined by years of experience and departmental equity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Environmental Services Manager and the Environmental Services Technicians. Assist in overseeing daily operations and activities within the facility.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with departmental standards, documenting any discrepancies and formulating corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to strategize and accomplish hospital and departmental objectives.
  • Perform daily tasks alongside supervisory duties, as well as all responsibilities of Environmental Services Technicians.
  • Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Manager, assisting with scheduling and delegating work assignments, and auditing employee time management records.
  • Execute additional job-related tasks as assigned by the Department Director, Manager, or designated personnel.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures and participate in annual performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Skills:
Preferred qualifications include 4 years of supervisory experience and 4 years of experience in environmental health.
