Job Overview

Position Summary

The Client Inspection Manager is responsible for guaranteeing that our clients experience a premier level of service during product evaluations, ensuring consistency across various locations. This role involves the effective management of work transfers between production and installation sites. Acting as the primary manufacturing liaison during client inspections, the Manager will facilitate, host, and translate client feedback into actionable tasks that are monitored throughout their lifecycle from initiation to completion, irrespective of the site.

Frequent travel is expected, providing support at multiple manufacturing and installation locations under the production team's purview. The ability to interpret client feedback into clear, actionable strategies that meet their requirements is crucial.

The ideal candidate will possess the expertise and capabilities to act as the internal facilitator for resolving discrepancies. They should be adept at viewing our products from the clients' perspective, anticipating their needs, and addressing their feedback. Experience collaborating with Quality and Manufacturing teams, as well as knowledge of aircraft modifications, is essential. The candidate should be comfortable in a development and prototype setting, with the flexibility to adapt plans as needed to support various programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee activities related to client on-site evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain precise records of inspections and resolutions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to achieve timely resolutions.
  • Maintain tracking and reporting tools for consistent and timely client updates on progress.
  • Continuously enhance inspection processes and protocols.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Coordinate and lead the Manufacturing Ready to Start process meetings.
  • Facilitate daily GEMBA activities and actively participate in Kaizen workshops.
  • Contribute to FOD audits, 5S initiatives, and Safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior management, design, engineering, project teams, and others as necessary.
  • Engage closely with Manufacturing and Installation teams.
  • Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and full shift work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Certification Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or engineering disciplines, coupled with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the aerospace sector or aircraft interior industry is required.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Flexibility to work outside of core business hours when necessary.
