Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager to enhance our finance team. The selected candidate will be instrumental in supervising our tax functions, ensuring adherence to current regulations, and delivering strategic tax solutions. This position offers a unique chance to lead a team, engage with senior leadership, and significantly influence our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Tax Manager, your primary duties will include:

1. Overseeing comprehensive tax accounting and compliance processes, including the preparation and evaluation of tax returns for various entities.

2. Formulating and executing strategic tax planning initiatives for federal and state tax obligations.

3. Leading the tax team in the preparation of the company's federal and state tax returns.

4. Managing IRS audits by preparing necessary documentation and responses.

5. Keeping up-to-date with tax law changes and providing research and advisory services on diverse tax issues.

6. Assisting in quarterly and annual tax forecasting to support financial planning.

7. Collaborating with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate tax payments.

8. Reviewing tax provision calculations and coordinating with external auditors during audits.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree in Taxation or CPA certification is preferred.

2. At least 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or a similar field.

3. In-depth knowledge and experience in tax operations for various entities.

4. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations and procedures.

5. Proven leadership capabilities with experience in team management and development.

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

7. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax information clearly.

9. High integrity and dependability, coupled with a results-oriented mindset.
