Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee governmental tax examinations and represent clients before relevant authorities.
  • Foster the development of staff through recruitment, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.
  • Ensure the efficient flow of tax returns through the preparation system, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain effective billing and collection processes.
  • Prepare reports and projects as requested by partners.
  • Research and evaluate tax preparation and research software for partner recommendations.
  • Engage in practice development through community and industry involvement.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation, research, and planning software.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
  • At least two years of experience representing clients before taxing authorities.
  • A minimum of one year supervising and directing tax preparers.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required; a master's degree in taxation is preferred.

Work Environment: This position may require occasional overtime, particularly during peak tax seasons. Candidates should be prepared for a demanding workload during critical periods.
