Alexander & Schmidt is seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Management Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Risk Management Consultant, you will perform inspections and prepare in-depth reports for insurance underwriting purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of commercial properties to identify potential risks and hazards.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with insurance underwriters to ensure accurate and comprehensive risk assessments.
- Develop and implement risk improvement services, including training, consulting, and hazard analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in risk management.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in loss control services, preferably with a major carrier or as an independent contractor.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty lines, including property assessments, inland marine coverages, and commercial general liability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and root causes of losses.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, OHST, ALCM, and/or ARM are preferred but not required.
Additional Information
- Travel within a reasonable territory, approximately 50-mile radius.
- High-quality, accurate loss control surveys guide the underwriter in the selection of profitable business and assist the insured in controlling losses through the demonstrated value of the loss control services provided.
