Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team at The Agency Recruiting. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will play a key role in enhancing client relationships through effective communication and delivery of value-added services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop strong practice and development skills through various professional networking activities and act as a role model within the Firm.
  • Workflow Management: Manage the overall workflow within the tax department and demonstrate a positive attitude towards the Firm.
  • Technical Competence: Maintain a high level of technical competence to ensure the firm's quality control.
  • Value-Added Solutions: Provide value-added solutions to clients and manage overall client relationships by establishing key relationships within the client organization.
  • Staying Informed: Stay informed about general economic conditions, political trends, and legislative initiatives affecting clients.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address unethical or inappropriate behavior from clients or colleagues and seek appropriate advice to handle conflicts.
  • Employee Management: Effectively manage employees through delegation and supervision.
  • Coaching and Feedback: Provide honest and timely coaching feedback to staff regarding performance and career development.
  • U.S. Tax Laws: Possess a strong understanding of U.S. tax laws related to the ownership of foreign entities by U.S. persons.
  • Engagement Management: Oversee and manage a significant volume of engagements, ensuring quality and timely delivery, staying within budget, and maintaining high realization rates.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and suggest opportunities to increase engagement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner Collaboration: Leverage partners' expertise and technical knowledge in serving clients.
  • Professional Standards: Uphold professional and ethical standards as a CPA.
  • Resource Utilization: Use resources effectively to perform assignments and conduct complex research.
  • Personal Growth: Commit to developing your talents, skills, and business knowledge, resulting in personal growth and knowledge expansion.
  • Teamwork: Contribute to high office morale and encourage teamwork on engagements.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills and act as a resource and mentor to firm employees.
  • Business Development: Demonstrate a desire to contribute to the firm by participating in one or more functional areas of office management.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain beneficial relationships with other professionals, such as bankers and attorneys.
  • Proposal Development: Be directly involved in delivering proposals that lead to acquiring new clients or expanding tax planning services with existing clients.
Requirements
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in a public accounting firm or related experience.
  • CPA Certification: CPA required.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
