OVERVIEW:
A prominent CPA firm offering a comprehensive suite of accounting, tax, and advisory solutions to a diverse clientele is seeking a Lead Tax Consultant in Torrance, CA. The Lead Tax Consultant is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns for corporate clients, conducting tax research, providing strategic tax planning advice, and analyzing legislation for potential tax benefits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Preparing tax filings using advanced tax software and managing both paper and electronic submissions.
* Collaborating with clients to collect necessary information and deliver effective tax services.
* Identifying tax-related issues and offering comprehensive tax analysis and recommendations.
* Conducting research on tax matters utilizing tax software and databases.
* Addressing inquiries from federal and state tax authorities.
* Gaining an understanding of client operations and business goals to effectively apply that knowledge in engagements.
* Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of 3 years of tax experience in a public accounting environment is required.
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is mandatory.
* CPA certification is advantageous.
* Must be eligible to sit for CPA examinations.
