Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Taxation Operations Manager to enhance our finance team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supervising tax functions, ensuring adherence to regulations, and delivering strategic tax solutions. Key Responsibilities:
As a Taxation Operations Manager, your duties will encompass:
1. Managing all facets of tax accounting and compliance, including the preparation and review of tax filings for various entities.
2. Crafting and executing strategic tax plans for federal and state obligations.
3. Leading the tax team in preparing components of the company's federal and state tax returns.
4. Overseeing IRS audits, including preparing responses and necessary documentation.
5. Keeping up-to-date with tax developments and providing research and advisory services on diverse tax issues.
6. Assisting in quarterly and annual tax forecasting for financial strategy.
7. Collaborating with the finance department to ensure timely tax payments.
8. Reviewing tax provision calculations and coordinating audits with external auditors.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's in Taxation or CPA certification is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or a similar field.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax operations for various entities.
4. Strong familiarity with federal, state, and local tax regulations and procedures.
5. Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on team development.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
7. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
