POSITION SUMMARY

The Tire Operations Supervisor is responsible for the sales of tires, automotive accessories, service repairs, and preventative maintenance, with a primary focus on achieving customer satisfaction. This role involves assessing customer requirements for tires and services, providing accurate responses to inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivers exceptional customer service that surpasses expectations while adhering to company policies. Builds trust with customers through integrity and fairness.
  • Listens attentively to understand and communicates effectively with customers and team members regarding relevant topics.
  • Provides accurate information to customers both in-person and over the phone.
  • Identifies and addresses customer needs, issues, and inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Projects a warm, knowledgeable, and professional demeanor to customers.
  • Develops a loyal customer base through excellent service.
  • Guides the service department in diagnosing customer needs through appropriate product and service recommendations.
  • Confirms with the service department that necessary services have been performed.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all tire products, services, and competitor offerings.
  • Prepares precise estimates and invoices for customers.
  • Processes customer transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and account payments.
  • Understands and performs the duties of a Maintenance Technician.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Tire Operations Supervisor is accountable for the overall sales growth, profitability, and management of the tire business segment. This includes financial responsibilities related to tire sales, service units, and promotional activities.

CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures customer satisfaction through effective inspections, presentations, and high scores in customer service evaluations.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

Involves training and coaching team members to enhance performance and service delivery.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishes daily priorities to ensure timely delivery of products and services. Analyzes and organizes daily operations in collaboration with the Service Advisor to improve productivity and meet established goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant experience in tire sales, automotive services, and customer relations.

LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and effectively communicating with groups.

Proficient in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and able to solve practical problems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to stand for extended periods, lift and move items up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees may be exposed to mechanical parts, chemicals, and varying weather conditions. The work environment is typically loud, and extended hours may be required.

MISCELLANEOUS

A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required. A background check is part of the employment process.
