Position Overview:
$500.00 Sign-On Bonus available


The Individual Support Specialist collaborates with the Educator to deliver services outlined in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) for the designated student; fosters a nurturing and encouraging environment for the student(s).

This role involves supervising a specific student as detailed in the IEP; employment is contingent upon the student's enrollment and the ongoing approval of the IEP Team for support.

Compensation:
Minimum:
USD $17.00/Hr.

Maximum:
USD $22.00/Hr.

Key Responsibilities:
Additional duties may be assigned as required.

  • Ensures a secure and conducive learning environment for students in accordance with the administrative policies and procedures of Arrow Child & Family Ministries.
  • Oversees and directs student behavior within the classroom, school premises, and during school-related events.
  • Provides a dependable and consistent supportive presence in the educational setting.
  • Accompanies the assigned student to all activities as specified by the IEP.
  • Under the guidance of the Educator, delivers tailored instruction and assistance to an assigned student or small group.
  • Employs diverse teaching methodologies and techniques to facilitate progress and achievement for the assigned student or small group.
  • Creates a personalized learning atmosphere that promotes the student's journey towards independence.
  • Assists the Educator in completing all necessary documentation to accurately track student progress, including daily attendance, performance on current goals, and behavioral data.
  • May be required to support students during transportation to and from school and other activities.
  • May participate in community-based activities with students, such as swimming, shopping, utilizing public transportation, and other relevant instructional activities.
  • Actively engages as a member of the Treatment Team, sharing pertinent information both orally and in writing.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of a positive school culture.
  • Ensures adherence to safety protocols and security measures for students, providing crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Communicates relevant situations to the Behavior Specialist and Educator.
  • Attends required training sessions and meetings.
  • Promotes the mission and vision of Arrow Child & Family Ministries to staff, students, and families served.
  • Reviews client files quarterly to assess service plan implementation, progress towards goals, and future appropriateness of the service plan.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with contractual obligations, state and federal regulations, Arrow policies, and applicable standards.

Qualifications:
A High School diploma or GED and a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children and families, preferably in an educational environment.
