Job Summary

The Classroom Aide position at Arrow Child and Family Ministries is a vital role that requires a dedicated and compassionate individual to support the educational and personal growth of students with unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide One-to-One Support: Assist the Teacher in implementing the Individualized Education Program (IEP) for assigned students, ensuring their academic and personal needs are met.
  • Supervise and Manage Student Behavior: Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, supervising student behavior in the classroom, school, and school-sponsored functions.
  • Develop Individualized Instruction Plans: Work with the Teacher to create tailored instruction plans that promote progress and success for assigned students.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain open communication with the Teacher, Behavior Specialist, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Participate in Treatment Team Meetings: Collaborate with the Treatment Team to develop and implement strategies that promote student growth and well-being.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive student information with discretion and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Experience: At least one year of experience working with children and families, preferably in a school setting
