Job Overview

Gustave A. Larson Company stands as a premier wholesale distributor specializing in HVAC and Refrigeration (HVACR) equipment, components, and supplies. The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales growth, and enhancing profitability through a collaborative local market team approach, while also being a vital contributor to both sales and operations teams to meet customer business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be expanded as deemed necessary by management.

  • Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with a designated portfolio of clients. Actively engage as the primary contact for customers, providing support, information, and guidance.
  • Sales Development: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for sales expansion within existing accounts, including upselling and cross-selling products or services as appropriate.
  • Account Oversight: Manage a portfolio of assigned clients, ensuring accurate documentation of sales activities and customer interactions through Customer Relationship Management Software.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with Territory Manager(s) to share insights on new sales opportunities and support the branch by assisting at the counter, responding to inquiries, and performing other tasks as required.
  • Product Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Company's offerings to provide precise and detailed information to clients.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in account management or sales, or relevant educational background is required.
  • Prior experience in the HVAC industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales-related tools, preferably Salesforce.
  • Experience with ERP software, preferably P21.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% within the designated territory.
