Position Overview: The Engineering Manager will oversee the engineering department, focusing on product design, development, and continuous improvement of industrial gearbox products. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical background and proven experience in managing engineering teams within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Product Development: Oversee the design, development, and testing of industrial gearboxes, ensuring products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, while ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, solving complex design and manufacturing challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of new products into manufacturing.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all products and processes comply with industry regulations and standards, including ISO, API, and other relevant certifications.
  • Customer Interaction: Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records, and present updates to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of industrial gearbox design, materials science, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA analysis tools.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers, with a focus on coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing complex engineering projects, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, customers, and senior management.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to industrial gearboxes, such as ISO, API, and AGMA.
