Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineering Leadership Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop a team of engineering managers and engineers to create scalable services while promoting a growth mindset, diversity, and inclusion.
- Empower and hold your team accountable by modeling, coaching, and caring.
- Oversee partnerships with stakeholders to ascertain user requirements across teams for various solutions or product lines.
- Utilize diverse feedback channels to integrate insights into future designs or solution enhancements.
- Guide team efforts and influence design discussions for complex system architectures.
- Draft proposals for architecture and design documents, leading the testing of hypotheses and proposed solutions.
- Provide technical and people leadership to ensure system architecture aligns with security and compliance standards.
- Facilitate the production of extensible and maintainable code, optimizing and refactoring as necessary.
- Act as an expert in guiding team experimentation to assess the effectiveness of changes.
- Lead the resolution of intricate site incidents, coordinating efforts across product lines.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with 6+ years of technical engineering experience in coding languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
4+ years of people management experience, a Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 10+ years of experience.
Experience in building and operating distributed systems in cloud environments is also highly valued.
Compensation:
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year, with variations for specific locations.
