The Third Party Response Analytics team is integral to fostering trust with external partners, regulators, and stakeholders. Our goal is to enable internal teams to efficiently manage requests through automated tools and insightful reporting. We are in search of a seasoned Business Intelligence Engineering Manager to enhance the effectiveness of this dynamic team.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to identify opportunities for automation and improve data reliability. You will be instrumental in managing cross-departmental relationships, overseeing the design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions, and ensuring the smooth operation of data processes. As a leader, your focus will be on developing your team and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Vision: Lead the strategic direction for Business Intelligence Engineering within your designated area, crafting and executing a comprehensive plan to realize that vision.
  2. Self-Service Development: Design and maintain a suite of impactful self-service dashboards and visualizations for key stakeholders, facilitating efficient data access and insights.
  3. Operational Excellence: Establish and uphold best practices for operational excellence in Business Intelligence Engineering, including project management and system reliability.
  4. Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performing Business Intelligence Engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside various internal teams, including Product, Legal, Compliance, Data Science, and Customer Operations, to identify and implement data-driven solutions.
  6. Project Oversight: Manage individual projects by coordinating with internal data teams to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
  7. Team Development: Focus on enhancing the skills and capabilities of your team, enabling sustainable growth and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced SQL skills: expertise in schema and ETL design, query optimization, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Mode)
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming for data mining, modeling, and ETL development (Python preferred)
  • Ability to define a long-term vision and strategy for data management that supports external data requests, enhancing visibility and insights
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering within product/support analytics and business operations
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading engineering teams focused on external data reporting
  • Experience collaborating with Legal & Counsel stakeholders
