Job Title: Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our West Coast Field Operations team for military projects located in San Diego County.

Job Summary:

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all construction work activities, assigned employees, and subcontractors on a project job site. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate construction work activities, including scheduling, ordering, and quality control.
  • Direct and coordinate assigned employees and subcontractors on a project job site.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, including RFP, plans, specifications, and proposal documents.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college courses or degree in construction management, engineering, etc. preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in a Superintendent position, with four or more years of field or trade work experience in the construction industry required.
  • Government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required; specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required; training can be provided.
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable; LEED GA/AP Credential desirable.
