About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Estimator to join our team at RQ Construction, LLC. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing detailed estimates to assess the costs of assigned scopes-of-work on various large construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects, working closely with our collaborative Estimating team.
  • Develop expertise in building systems and estimating software, immersing yourself in the construction trades.
  • Collaborate with a team of seasoned estimating professionals to secure multi-million-dollar projects that exemplify our commitment to excellence.
  • Build valuable relationships with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring accurate and competitive bidding.
Requirements
  • A BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position.
  • A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.
  • One year of experience (or equivalent) in architectural/engineering/construction estimating and related functions, including planning, techniques, and contracting required.
  • Conceptual and Hard-Bid estimating experience preferred.
  • Computer literacy (ex. Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.) required.
  • Specific software literacy (ex. On-Screen Take-Off, Adobe Reader) preferred.
  • Previous work experience in the construction design-build industry, including work with contractors and subcontractors in public markets (ex. DoD, education) is preferred.
