Job Title: Intermediate Level Construction Estimator

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Intermediate Level Construction Estimator to join our team at Coteccons Construction Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Develop comprehensive bid packages and proposals, ensuring all required documentation is included.
  • Utilize your network of subcontractors in Southern California to obtain competitive bids and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, and related documents to identify project scope and requirements.
  • Independently manage the bid process from initial take-off through to final bid submission, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and bid submissions for future reference and reporting.
  • Stay current with industry trends, construction methods, and pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
  • Participate in post-bid reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
  • Strong network of subcontractors within the Southern California region.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and reliable estimates.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

This position is based in our Southern California office and requires full-time on-site attendance. No remote work or telecommuting options are available for this role.
