Job Summary

Tidelands Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for registering patients, handling first call resolution, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients and obtain accurate demographic, financial, and medical information
  • Handle first call resolution for assigned departments and transfer calls as necessary
  • Pre-register patients for procedures and verify insurance information
  • Assist with making referrals and coordinate multiple resources for patient services
  • Perform administrative support duties, including opening and distributing mail and correspondence
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of related customer-facing experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Ability to interact successfully with the public and perform effectively in high-stress situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with patients, families, and clinical staff
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in scheduling or pre-registering patients
  • Prior call center experience
Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent standing, sitting, and walking, as well as the ability to use hands and fingers to perform tasks. The employee must exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and up to 5 pounds of force frequently.
