Tidelands Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Patient Care Specialist. This role is responsible for managing individualized patient care, promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
Key Responsibilities- Conducts individualized patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on the patient's immediate condition or needs, and collaborating with other healthcare team members.
- Performs appropriate treatments and administrations of medication, immediate and ongoing, as ordered by providers in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provides individualized patient and family education, customized to the patient's and family's needs.
- Documents patient condition, assessment findings, and physical/psychosocial responses to nursing interventions and progress towards problem resolution.
- Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols.
- Maintains confidentiality and provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient's and family's diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity, and rights.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an education institution accredited by National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Previous experience in an acute care setting.
- Current and in good standing RN Licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an education institution accredited by National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role.
- ACLS certification.
