Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Accurately register patients, obtain demographic and insurance information, and schedule appointments for provider services.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and clinical staff, ensuring a positive experience throughout the registration process.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and clinical staff to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to patient registration, scheduling, and customer service, utilizing initiative and judgment to find solutions.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information, insurance verification, and scheduling details in the electronic health record.
- Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks, including opening, sorting, and distributing mail and correspondence.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of related customer-facing experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.
This role requires frequent standing, sitting, and walking, as well as the ability to use hands and fingers to perform tasks. The employee must exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and up to 5 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
