Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Flooring Operations Supervisor to lead our installation team at MKG INTERIORS INC. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and efficiency of flooring installations while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Operational Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections to uphold quality standards in installations.
  • Address minor repairs and punch list items promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to identify and resolve issues early in the installation process.
  • Communicate necessary corrective actions to installers and project management.
  • Document site visits by submitting daily reports to management.
  • Manage jobsite deliveries and maintain routine inventory reports.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials.
  • Implement streamlined warehouse processes to ensure timely and accurate material delivery.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment.
Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations and company policies during all activities.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions and enforce protocols on job sites and in the warehouse.
  • Investigate and report any incidents, implementing corrective measures as needed.
Effective Communication:
  • Enhance departmental productivity through clear written and verbal communication.
  • Maintain professionalism in all correspondence.
  • Provide constructive feedback as necessary.
Customer Service Excellence:
  • Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to all customer complaints within a 48-hour timeframe.
Sales Focus:
  • Prioritize customer retention in all interactions.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of product offerings to instill confidence in clients.
Team Development:
  • Actively recruit installers for various flooring projects, including carpet, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, tile, sheet vinyl, and hardwood.
Work Requirements:Scheduling:
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday rotation as needed.
Experience:
  • 7-10 years of experience in flooring preferred.
  • Installation experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple crews effectively.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Clear and pleasant phone communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry over 40 lbs.
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment manually.
  • Capability to operate forklifts and other related equipment.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations regularly.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods and make multiple stops.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Familiarity with iPad and flooring software.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use Measure Square.
  • Forklift operation experience.
