Senior Cash Register Supervisor

Role Overview:

The Senior Cash Register Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless checkout experience for our customers. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, accuracy in processing transactions, and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operational tasks and priorities as directed by store management.
  • Welcome customers as they enter and exit the store, ensuring a friendly atmosphere.
  • Maintain a clean and organized register area to enhance customer experience.
  • Process transactions efficiently, including issuing receipts, refunds, and credits.
  • Ensure that purchased items are packed and handed to customers appropriately.
  • Engage with customers positively, addressing their needs and inquiries.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the management team promptly.
  • Complete all assigned tasks from management or the head cashier.
  • Encourage customers to participate in Family Farm and Home programs, such as loyalty initiatives and financing options.
  • Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism.
  • Uphold store cleanliness and safety standards at all times.
  • Assist in the completion of closing duties as required.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment for all team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Additional Duties for Senior Cash Register Supervisor:

  • Participate in the recruitment and training of new cashiers.
  • Monitor and guide the performance of cashiers on a daily basis.
  • Maintain accurate cash control logs and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures.
  • Achieve satisfactory results on corporate cashiering audits.
  • Ensure cleanliness in the cash office and register areas.
  • Communicate any unresolved cash discrepancies to management.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Cash Register Supervisor position will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. A flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays, is essential. Candidates should be comfortable using basic computer systems and be able to stand for extended periods, as well as perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50lbs.
