Job Overview
The Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in the Production Engine Test Operations (PETO) at GE Aerospace. This position entails overseeing all electrical systems that facilitate and support engine testing within the designated test cells. The engineer will be instrumental in achieving the team's critical performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the application of Flight Deck principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Electrical Engineer for Production Engine Test Operations (PETO), focusing on all Aeroderivative products within the GE Aerospace portfolio. This role involves managing and supervising all electrical systems that are integrated with and support engine testing.
  • Employ the principles of Flight Deck to identify, prevent, and enhance the performance of electrical systems, enabling the test team to operate efficiently and deliver value to customers. Contribute to the successful attainment of key performance indicators in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Oversee all electrical test enabling and facility systems, including large and small electrical systems, controls, PLCs, and software across all test cells. This encompasses systems such as Mk6e, Mk6, Cimplicity, Allan Bradley, HBK, Bentley Nevada, and others.
  • Collaborate with various organizations that support PETO to resolve issues and foster future relationships for knowledge sharing, including test facilities infrastructure, maintenance, controls engineering, and systems engineering.
  • Utilize extensive technical knowledge and analytical skills to implement departmental policies and strategies effectively.
  • Exercise judgment to propose innovative solutions for complex manufacturing processes that involve technical variety and interdependent production cycles, drawing on both internal and limited external resources.
  • Serve as a resource for colleagues and lead departmental projects aimed at enhancing electrical test enabling and facility systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in managing electrical systems for engine testing. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.
