Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Electrical Engineer for Production Engine Test Operations (PETO), concentrating on testing efforts for all Aeroderivative products within the GE Aerospace portfolio. This role involves managing and supervising all electrical systems that are integrated with and support engine testing within the facility.
  • Apply the principles of Flight Deck to identify, prevent, and enhance the performance of electrical systems, enabling the test team to operate effectively and deliver value to our clients. This position is accountable for achieving the team's key performance indicators in safety, quality, delivery, and cost, while also focusing on the prevention of issues and improvements in operational challenges categorized as 'controls' and 'facilities electrical'.
  • Oversee all electrical testing and facility systems, including large and small electrical systems, controls, PLCs, and software across all test cells. Key systems include, but are not limited to, Mk6e, Mk6, Cimplicity, Allan Bradley, HBK, Bentley Nevada, foretran code, hpunix code, PME, Rx3i, Genius exchange, VFDs, and gas detection systems.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with various organizations that support PETO to address and rectify issues, while fostering future relationships for knowledge sharing, including test facilities infrastructure and engineering (TFIE), test enabling hardware (TEH), maintenance (PETO Maintenance), facilities, controls engineering, systems engineering, evaluation engineering, and development engine test operations (DETO).
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical reasoning, and technical experience to implement departmental policies and strategies.
  • Exercise judgment and demonstrate the ability to propose alternative solutions beyond established parameters to tackle complex manufacturing processes with technical diversity and interdependent production cycles. Leverage technical experience and analytical reasoning, drawing from multiple internal and limited external sources to make informed decisions.
  • Serve as a resource for colleagues and lead projects within the department aimed at enhancing various electrical test enabling and facility systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience managing and overseeing electrical systems integrated with and supporting engine testing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing and overseeing electrical systems related to engine testing.
