Position Overview:

The IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of technology within our community. This position involves collaborating with both technology and business professionals to support and maintain various technological systems, including end-user devices and communication tools. The specialist is dedicated to delivering exemplary customer service to all stakeholders, including staff, residents, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries and issues, providing support through various channels including in-person, email, and phone.
  • Utilize the IT ticketing system to manage and prioritize technical requests effectively.
  • Facilitate technology orientation and training for staff, assisting with equipment and software procurement.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding processes by preparing equipment and setting up accounts for new hires.
  • Coordinate with the IT team and external vendors to schedule service visits and resolve technical issues.
  • Document known issues and create installation guides to streamline IT processes.
  • Provide both remote and on-site support for various peripherals, including printers and mobile devices.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the IT department.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an IT-related role.
  • Strong analytical skills and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in supporting Windows operating systems (7, 8, and 10).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and Google Apps.
  • Experience with desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Relevant certifications such as A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are preferred.
  • A passion for working with seniors is advantageous.
  • A criminal background check is required.
